After the ongoing Pandemic shifted our sporting calendar last year, we’re hoping that this year, we will be graced with some sporting events that will make up for all the lost sporting emotions of last year. Let’s hope 2021 treats us a bit better than the previous year did, and a great way to manifest that is by looking forward with excitement to the best sporting events of this year.

With the sporting event season fast approaching, we prepared a list of all the most critical events in the sporting world to watch out for in 2021!
Australian Open
Let’s start the year with a tennis tournament that everyone loves to watch. The Australia Open is the first grand slam tennis tournament of the year, and it is undoubtedly one that is filled with emotion! It takes place from the 8th of February and lasts until the 21st, so stay tuned, as the event is just around the corner!
It’s definitely an event filled with overwhelming excitement and emotions, so be prepared to tune in and choose your favorites to cheer for if you haven’t yet!
Formula One world championship
We’re moving straight from the tennis tournament to some competitive racing, which will start shortly after. Michael Schumacher’s has seven world titles record in match. and this year, Lewis Hamilton’s goal will be to establish himself as F1’s all-time top leading champion. Will he manage to do it and become the ultimate trophy winner, or will he be defeated; guess you need to tune in to find out! His pursuit of the winning position will occur in the most extended Formula One’s season. The calendar consists of 23 races, along with an argumentative grand Prix in Saudi Arabia which held 28th of November.
Euro 2021
The Infamous Euro football competition was probably one of the most anticipated championships for 2020. However, due to the global Pandemic that has exploded, the tournament had to be postponed to reduce pressure on affected countries’ public services. The Euro football competition takes place every four years, and that has always been the case from 1960 till 2020, where the round was postponed.
In terms of current trophy positions, Portugal is the defending champion, having won the 2016 competition, so it’s exciting to wait and see if they will keep up their desired position.
The Euro 2021 championship will take place across several European countries and take place for an entire month, starting on the 11th of June, and lasting until the final match held on the 11th of July 2021.
Fun fact for all you technology enthusiasts over there! The Euro 2021 games will be the first to use the video assistant referee (VAR) system at the UEFA European Championship.
Summer Olympics
As with the Euro games that were supposed to be held last year, the Summer Olympic games have also been postponed due to the ongoing health crisis. The competitive tournaments were originally set to take place from the 24th of July to the 9th of August 2020; however, the event was postponed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo. It will definitely give us a lot of summer entertainment, as they will begin on the 23rd of July 2021, and last until the closing ceremony, projected to be held on the 8th of August 2021.
The summer Olympics are well known to be one of the most anticipated and watched games, with 206 nations sending their representatives for the upcoming games. It is expected that 11,091 of them will arrive in Tokyo for the games, and even though we can’t all make it to Japan to watch them, we can definitely do that in the comfort of our living room!
