Try to minimize interruptions
It may seem innocent when a colleague comes in to chat. However, that few minutes can be quite harmful to your productivity as it stops your train of thought. No one likes a dip in their productivity, so you must try and minimize interruptions.
If that looks like closing your door (home or at the office) or using noise-canceling headphones to focus more on work, do it.
Make your office look pleasant
Several pieces of research show that when your office looks aesthetically pleasing, you focus more on work. Try adding plants or beautiful paintings in your office room. Not only the ambience will feel good. Also, when you feel low or irritated at work, seeing these will improve your mood manifolds and increase your productivity.
Clean-up the workstation
Before you start your work for the day, it is vital that you clean and organize your desk. Declutter and throw away anything that you do not require for the day. A clean space motivates you to work better.
