At some peak the value of BTC that it started receiving claimed to be as high as 5 BTC. the value stumbled when the reserves fell to the hands of more people.
At present, it is confirmed that the platform holds $145.77 in Bitcoin or 0.002 BTC.
Not only this, Torrent freak makes a claim stating that TPB is sitting on a pile of unearthed BTC making it one of the most influential digital platforms. The transactions related to bitcoin led to its resistance towards censorship.
The data provided by Torrent freak states that The Pirate Bay received over 126.64 Bitcoin in the form of donations. In 2016, around 9 BTC was again received with 1 BTC continuously in the stream until the mega year of 2017 for bitcoin.
To add up the statements of the report the pirate bay may have millions of reserves in the form of bitcoin donations and other crypto assets making around a donation of about $1500 every day since it all started.
The credit for all this donation process goes to those people who started the process and believed in developing a particular platform from the newly created assets in the form of bitcoins.
It is believed that the platform of the pirate bay could be shut down if it does not have that much reserve in its wallet. Not only this can be assumed from the fact that one of the sites related to sex workers like Only Fans is suffering and people and authorities are trying for its ban.
TPB was launched by the pirate bay to efficiently receive donations when a surge was seen in the market.
