Reliable knowledge in the field of financial corporate transactions, in particular mergers & acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, is also of great relevance.
The CAS Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions offer you focused training in which you learn to evaluate financing issues and financial transactions from both the company’s and the investor’s perspective and to develop holistic solutions.
The CAS Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions can be attended individually or as part of the MAS Corporate Finance. Attendance is mandatory for participants of the M&A association and MAS Corporate Finance.

Target audience
The CAS is aimed at people who hold a demanding specialist or managerial function within the finance department of companies in different sectors or who have the potential to take on such a position in the foreseeable future. The course is also aimed at qualified specialists from the financial sector whose professional focus is in the areas of corporate finance or corporate banking.

Methodology
The contents of the CAS are taught in an application-oriented manner. In addition to presentations/teaching discussions, case studies, some of which have to be worked on by the participants in the form of practical group exercises, form an important part. Financial modeling with Excel is of particular importance. A financial plan is drawn up for a real company, the cost of capital is calculated and a company valuation is developed on the basis of different methods.
More details on implementation
Lectures take place on Fridays from 1:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The course is carried out in a mix of physical face-to-face events (approx. 50%) and online events (approx. 50%). Eligibility Criteria
Admission requires a university degree (technical college or previous school, state-recognized university or technical college) and at least three years of relevant professional experience.
People with adequate professional experience and other qualifications who do not have the necessary prerequisites can be admitted “sur dossier.”

Studies and courses.
1. Scope
These General Admission and Participation Conditions apply to:
− Continuing education courses (CEC),
− Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS),
− Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS),
− Master of Advanced Studies (MAS),
− Master of Business Administration (MBA),
− Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and
− Executive Masters.
If a student registers for both a master’s degree and one or more of the associated CAS, the individual CAS the conditions for the CAS. If not all CAS is carried out by the same department, the individual CAS applies to the performing unit.
2. Permission
The respective admission requirements can be found in the tender documents and please refer to the study regulations of the individual courses and courses.
If the payment of the tuition fees/course costs, or the first invoiced partial amount, at the beginning of the course, the admission can be revoked.
3. Registration
Both written and online registrations are binding. By registering, the participants confirm that they comply with these general admission and participation conditions as well as the course or study conditions according to the advertisement and study regulations to have taken note of and to accept them.
The number of participants in continuing education events is limited. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received, subject to approval. Deviations are published in the tender documents. About registrations after the registration deadline will be decided by the course or study management.
4. Implementation
The SML reserves the right to cancel the event for important reasons, e.g., not reaching the minimum number of registrations, not to be carried out. The registered persons will be informed as early as possible about the non-implementation. If the event is not carried out, payments already made will be refunded in full. Further compensation claims are excluded.
5. Costs
The tuition fees/course costs and the services included therein can be found in the advertisement.
6. Additional Costs
Additional costs arise, among other things, in connection with an inspection, repetition of the performance record, and entire modules. Details can be found in the course documents.
7. Payment Arrangements
The tuition fees/course costs are usually due before the course begins and within 30 days invoice date to pay. We reserve the right to special terms of payment for individual continuing education events. In any case, the entire tuition fees/course costs must have been paid before the start of the last module.
If the tuition fees/course costs are not paid on time, the visit will be denied lessons. The obligation to pay the tuition fees/course costs remains unaffected.

Printed matter and online information about the courses are kept up to date to the best of our knowledge and belief. In case of doubt, the information contained in the current printed matter applies. Changes in course content, program, time, or however, the duration, the location, or the speakers remain reserved.
