Fight Club
This mind-bending thriller was created in 1995 and stars Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. The story follows “The Narrator” who is the main antagonist. He remains unnamed throughout the full movie. “The Narrator” is an average middle-class person who struggles with mental disorders such as depression and insomnia. Things start to go south when a man named Tyler Durden comes into the picture, the pair decide to meet every week and fight each other because the narrator feels as though it gives him a cathartic release and helps his insomnia. Soon, other people also see the cathartic side of brutal bare fist fighting and they create a “Fight club”. Tyler decides to create a group named “Project Mayhem” with members of Fight Club and excludes The Narrator. The group is based on committing crazy acts of vandalism and anarchy. Soon the group plans to blow up buildings containing credit card records to erase the debt. As if things aren’t crazy enough already, The Narrator soon finds out that the full time he himself is Tyler and he has developed a new personality. When the Narrator has assumed himself to be asleep, his other personality has been taking over. The Amazing Spider-Man
Everyone loves Spiderman! Marc Webb’s take on the high school student Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) who is bitten by a genetically enhanced super spider shows a very different side to the beloved web-swinging super-hero, in comparison to other live-action spider-man movies. One night, his uncle is murdered in a robbery. Peter creates web-shooters and dons a red spandex suit to hide his identity in his search for his uncle’s killer. Peter soon comes to terms with the fact that he has been given a responsibility to do good with his newfound powers. He instead sets out to put a stop to a crazy scientist who turned himself into a terrifying lizard-human hybrid in a failed experiment to regrow his missing arm. This movie has everything from romance to action which without a doubt makes it one of the best thriller movies on amazon prime. “The Amazing Spider-Man” is more than your average superhero movie because of the way it strongly focuses on Peter’s personal life. This fantastic thriller starring Bradley Cooper as “Eddie Morra” is all based around a drug called NZT-48 which gives the consumer a freakish ability to remember mass amounts of information in seconds. Taking the small pill makes Eddie insanely sharp and he begins to depend on it to fix many aspects of his life such as creativity for his writing. Soon Eddie realizes his potential and begins to get involved in the stock markets. Unfortunately, along with Eddie’s newfound powers come multiple problems as he attracts the attention of a lot of the wrong people and faces some terrible consequences. The interesting concept of “Limitless” makes for a brilliant watch and probably one of the best thriller movies on amazon prime. Bradley Cooper’s acting is exceptional in the film and really has you invested from the very beginning.
The Dark Knight Rises
This movie takes place 8 years after the prequel “The Dark Knight”. Bruce Wayne Is eventually convinced to return as batman to attempt to put a stop to Gotham’s latest threat, a supervillain by the name of “Bane” (Tom Hardy), a terrorist vigilante with the primary goal of destroying the city. “The Dark Knight ” is the final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, it brings brilliant closure to the trilogy. The movie is packed with action and spine-chilling moments where you can’t take your eyes off the screen. A lot of what makes this movie so good is how the turn of events in the movie is semi-believable, even the fight scenes have a certain amount of realism that really immerses you in the film. Tom Hardy does an exceptional job as Bruce Wayne’s latest foe and is almost unrecognizable when in character.
