Tips on How to Stay Organized
It’s hard to stay organized. Especially when you’re stuck at home most of the time. One coffee cup on the table turns into a mess in the kitchen and clothes all over the bedroom within the blink of an eye.
Here are some simple tips to maintaining and getting the most out of your space, even when you spend so much time in it.
-
Start Digital
Start off small. If your text messages and emails will build up quickly, get rid of them. Start deleting old emails and unread text messages and keep your phone and computer organized.
This doesn’t take too long. Select each conversation that you want to delete at once and get it over with. If there are conversations you need to keep, then by all means keep them.
-
Develop Better Habits
Forming a healthy habit is hard, but it always pays off in the long run. Being more mindful while creating messes is the best way to avoid big clean-ups.
If you’re like me, you enjoy cooking at home. If you cook multiple fresh meals a day, those dishes add up quickly.
When you take out the ingredients, put them away and throw out the excess as you go. Try to be very mindful of this. While you’re cooking, simply toss any plastic wrapping you see, and wipe down your counters as you cook. This will save you a lot of time in the end.
This absolutely does not just apply to the kitchen. Taking out files in your office, bringing dishes into the living room, and so much more could be prevented from making a mess by simply working on developing this habit.
-
Let Go
Learning to let go of belongings you don’t use is hard, but worth it if you have a lot of stuff. Detaching yourself from items you don’t use always pays off.
-
Call in the Cavalry

Sometimes, if you have too much stuff, it’s nearly impossible to do it all yourself. Using some professionals for a loft storage solution that will both help you and teach you how to best utilize your space.

Make a List
We’ve all made to-do lists at one point or another, but how about a permanent one?
Have you ever thought of writing down all the things you need to be your most organized self? You know what your spaces look like at their finest, so why not get them there and take notes as you go?
