How many of us have thought, at least once in our lives, of giving up everything, changing jobs and countries? Although surely the daily frenzy is what leads us to think frequently about this opportunity, there are more and more brave people who have really done it.

There are those who move abroad to pursue their studies, those who pursue their dream job, those who embark on an adventure and decide to start a new life from scratch, or those who decide to spend their retirement years on some golden beach. Well, if you are among them, one of the countries that you have surely taken into consideration is Italy.

Lively culture, art, and businesses

Italy is a country that really offers a lot and that knows how to respond to the most varied requests, to lively, entrepreneurial, and multicultural Milan, from the high Alps to Sicilian beaches… all in one country. Let’s see some regions that you could consider living in Italy.

Central Italy: Tuscany

One of the regions that combine different aspects of the Bel Paese is Tuscany, famous for the playful temperament of the inhabitants, certainly offers a cultural heritage of remarkable beauty, unique in the world. The beauty of this land certainly makes you want to look at the homes for sale in Florence Italy and all around.

Not only for its history – we remember the Medici family who made Florence and Tuscany a cultural center reigning for over 300 years – but also for its peculiar landscape: think of the Sienese hills that Oliver Stone made the protagonist of the famous “The Gladiator”.

So, Tuscany is the region that’s right for you if you want to spend your days exploring the cultural, architectural, and landscape beauties of these areas, reliving the air of still intact medieval villages or the spirit of the Renaissance Tuscany offers wonderful mountains, hills, and coasts, for those who want an unhurried everyday life accompanied by a beautiful mild climate.

Northern Italy: Lombardy

If instead what you are looking for is a more frenetic life, perhaps even starting your own business, you certainly cannot fail to consider Milan and Lombardy in general. This region also enjoys history and architectural wonders but is mainly known for its economic vitality, it is the destination of international fashion and design.
However, Lombardy is not just Milan. Think of the stunning landscapes of Lake Como, a favorite summer retreat of the rich and famous since ancient Roman times, who stayed in villas along its craggy shores. Or again think of the beautiful Lake Garda on the border between Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino Alto Adige, or Mantua, a large metropolitan museum with over 1,000 digital works available on the Google Arts & Culture platform Lombardy is certainly the region that best suits your needs if you want to live in a city with a strong international flavor and participate in events of all kinds. Here the average annual temperatures stand at 62.6 °F, and in January, the coldest month, they reach 39.2 °F.
