Active Release Technique (ART) is a soft tissue modality that uses specific hand movements to stretch the fascia, or connective tissue, around your muscles. It helps to treat problems like muscle pain and tension that result from injuries, overuse, repetitive motions, and poor posture. Commercial Blog: It’s a very common misconception that if you’ve suffered an injury, or if you’ve had surgery, your body can simply bounce back on its own. You’ve probably heard of Rolfing, Hellerwork, Massage Therapy, and the lesser-known Graston Technique. All of these different methods have their own unique claims to results, and each has a long list of benefits for the client. However, despite all these differences, they all fall under one umbrella term Active Release Technique (ART).

Active Release Technique (ART) is a specific hands-on soft tissue therapy. During ART, the therapist uses his or her hands to apply gentle, sustained pressure to the skin, fascia, and muscle. This gentle pressure stimulates the body’s natural healing response. As a result, blood flow increases to the area, and waste products can be removed. If you’re looking for a convenient, cost-effective method of pain relief, then active release technique may be for you. This technique gently releases muscle tension and restrictions in tendons and fascia to alleviate pain, improve mobility and enhance athletic performance.

Active Release Technique (ART) is a treatment modality used to release soft tissue adhesions, scar tissue, and trigger points in the human body. The treatment is non-invasive, safe, and extremely effective for all ages. ART can help resolve soft tissue injury, chronic pain, postural dysfunction, and many other ailments that involve soft tissue restriction.
