As long as you know how to start a YouTube channel, you can upload a video in minutes. Of course, you will need to have a good understanding of marketing or employ somebody that does if you want to get the full value that YouTube can provide.

Below are the reasons you should consider using effective YouTube as a marketing tool for your business:

1. The Traffic You Can Tap Into

Every minute, there are 300 hours of video uploaded onto YouTube and a total of 5 billion videos get watched each day. With those figures in mind, it is easy to see why so many businesses are turning into the traffic that YouTube attracts. By simply uploading videos and marketing them correctly, you can create many new leads.

2. Using YouTube for Marketing Also Helps Google Rankings

You may or may not know, but Google actually owns YouTube. When you search on the Google web browser, you will notice that rather than just website listings, you now get videos, images, and news mixed into your search request.

A savvy marketer would know to take advantage of this. They could create a valuable piece of content for your website while also creating complimentary videos that back up this content.
