Guest posts are a great way of marketing your business, website, and products to new heights. A guest post is a post that is published on someone else’s blog or website so that means you are a guest on that platform. If it had been posted on your own website then we would have simply called it a blog. There are many benefits of posting a guest blog and every person undergoing digital marketing for their business must take advantage of it.
There are different Guest posting services that can help you with the content if you are not having enough time that you can invest after writing quality guest posts. These services have their own team of content writers that you can work with and they will help you create the best guest posts on the relevant topics and get the most traffic on your website.
There are multiple factors that decide how qualitative your GP can be. We have brought two important factors that you should have a look at and see how to take care of them in your guest posts.
Embed links
This is a common practice done in GPs. Authors embed the links relevant to the topic on which the article is written. The links can be from your own website, you can add the links to other blogs relevant to the topic published on your website. The readers will open this link and get redirected to your blogs and get more information about your website, your business, what you do, and other stuff which is to your benefit.
But make sure the links that you are adding are relevant to the topic on which you are writing the GP, otherwise, there is no sense in adding those links. A GP with relevant links is good but a GP with irrelevant links will snatch the readers away from the content written.
For example, if you have a GP written about “cooking best pizzas at home” then the relevant links should be related to it, like “how to make pizza sauce at home”, “what toppings do people prefer on the pizza” etc.
It is not mandatory to put links to your own blogs, you can put links of other blogs as well. The only concern is that the guest post should get qualitative and the reader must get some good information from it so they will involve themselves more in reading good stuff written by you.
Now, the question is how many links you should add? Is it 3, 5, 7, or how much the number should go? The guideline or the trend in the industry says that 2-3 links are good enough for a 500-word article. So, if you are going for a 1000 word article then don’t go beyond 6 links at the max, and remember it should make enough sense to include them in the post.
Get an eye-catchy headline
Headlines are quite important, in fact, more important than the importance it gets from the blog writers. Writers pay attention to the quality of content but pay the least attention to the headlines. The fact is that if the headline is not catchy then no reader is going to bother clicking the link to your article.
If the headline is properly written then it will attract everyone’s attention who are interested in reading it and at least open the link (whether they read engagingly and complete reading the whole post is a different story).
Now, how you decide whether the headline is attractive or not. Well, there are some words that you can include in your headline which let the readers inquisitively open the link which we will let you know in some time.
The main focus should be on the target audience, you need to understand their expectations from your article and accordingly phrase the title. Also, it should be SEO catchy too so that Google gives you a high rank.
Include numbers in your title. For example, “7 ways to improve your concentration power” is much better and catchy than “Ways to improve your concentration power, check them out”. This is because our mind is fond of numbers, numbers give a direction and boost more curiosity in the mind of the reader.
Include the words “Best”, “Easiest”, “Why”, “What” as they are quite appealing. For example, “Best ways to increase your savings”, “Easiest ways to get rid of laziness”, “Why you should invest in the stock market, know them now”, “What are the benefits of waking up early in the morning?”.
Don’t forget to include your target keyword in the title. You can create 3-4 different titles and pick the one that best suits your article. You can even ask other people about their opinion, which title suits well and which doesn’t and this will give you a clear idea.
So, here was an overview of writing quality guest posts considering the two factors shown above. Sell guest posts on websites and blogs that have a good number of active readers as that is quite significant to boost your traffic.
