You might be conversant with tips on how to maintain mental and physical strength, but how often do you put them into practice? Living healthy is a long-life effect. No wonder today, most governments and non-governmental organizations across the globe are in front line advocating for it. 

Nevertheless, to live a healthy life in 2020 is not an overnight achievement. It is a gradual, consistent process with a high level of resilience, planning on which, and how to undertake healthy habits. According to the WHO, your physical and mental health is closely linked to each other, and change in one affects the functionality of another one, respectively. By practising good and healthy lifestyle habits, your body and mind get into a rhythm that becomes your second nature. 

Below mentioned are insightful tips you ought to consider in 2020 vital to living a healthy life.

1. Take Healthy and Balanced Diet 

The food choices you consume daily considerably affect your health. A balanced diet is a food that contains all nutrients your body requires to function correctly. According to balanced diet research, only 50% of the population across the globe affords a balanced diet daily. By practising healthy eating habits, you reduce the rate of illness in your body. Besides, eating fruits and vegetables boosts your immune system owing they are rich in different types of vitamins.

2. Physical Activities

If you have a daily physical exercise routine, how good is it to healthy living? It’s hard to deny that physical activities are critical contributors to healthy living. Regular exercise reduces the risks of diseases like stroke, obesity, high blood pressure, and heart diseases. Mostly, swimming, jogging, walking, and yoga are the most popular regular exercises carried out among different age groups. On the other hand, you can quickly learn how to go about these exercises by starting and progressing with them over time without ceasing.

3. Avoid Tobacco and Alcohol

According to studies, tobacco smoking today is among the primary causes of 80% of lung cancer cases and deaths. If smoking is part of your daily life, you should undergo smoking behaviour modification to gain back your healthy life. Additionally, excess consumption of alcohol causes liver cirrhosis, which leads to liver cancer. Therefore, choosing to withdraw from alcoholism is a significant way to live healthy over time.

4. Drink Plenty of Water

Water is the best natural hydrating liquid to boost your health. Despite our bodies are made, 60% of water taking it in plenty is essential to keep the joints working and cleanse your body. Besides, staying hydrated helps in promoting healthy skin and balances your blood sugar levels. According to the doctors, an adult should take at least 8 glasses of water per day to regulate body temperatures.

5. Take Supplements

One of the best ways to keep good health is by taking supplements. l carnitine dosage & mostly other supplements contain multivitamins, vitamins, and calcium, which are suitable for your bone health. Besides, you acquire antioxidants from supplements taking. By taking these supplements, you boost your immunity, reducing the risk of infections in your body. On the other hand, supplements play a huge role in several risk groups. For instance, older people only absorb a minimal amount of vitamins to their bodies, so by using supplements, they can maintain good health.

6. Reduce Sugar and Salt Intake

Taking a lot of salt can cause blood pressure to increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. On the other hand, sugar attracts taste by adding sweetness; however, excess use of sugar may cause illness like heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and chronic inflammation. As the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states, an adult should take about one teaspoon of salt and about nine teaspoons of sugar per day.

7. Eat Fish Regularly

Fish is well known to contain the highest amount of proteins, minerals, and vitamins. Eating at least two portions of fish every week boosts your immune system. Additionally, fish contains Omega 3, which helps in fighting cholesterol from your body, providing good eye and heart health.

Health is not only about preventing your body from infections and diseases, but it’s also about mental, physical, and social wellbeing. Living a healthy life enhances you to stay active and achieve your goals. Since most healthy tips are manageable, you need to be determined in maintaining good personal health, having in mind good health is your responsibility.
