-
It’s All In The Mindset
Your brain is one of the most powerful parts of your body. Mentally preparing yourself to get out of bed and get stuff done is important! Here’s what you can do: before going to bed say words of affirmations that can motivate you for the next day. The next morning, go in front of a mirror and repeat those positive affirmations to get through the day. Even a simple “I can do it” is good enough. Remember: negativity will slow and pull you down. When you stay positive, everything will fall into place.

Plan Ahead
Fearing your tasks can be lessened if you straighten yourself up and organize your life. Getting a planner and jotting down goals for the day, week and even the month can make life less overwhelming and scary. The best part about this is the satisfying feeling of crossing out a task you’ve already done. A sense of achievement, even a simple one, is a great motivator.

Slow down
Everyone seems to be moving fast these days. When life flashes before your eyes, it may feel overwhelming. Curling up in a ball, and hiding under the covers all day seems like a good idea when this happens. This isn’t the answer. All we need to do is to slow down. To not take life too seriously sometimes. Do each task with mindfulness and intention. Eliminate all the pressure society gives and finish your task at your own pace.

Your Environment Is Important
A working environment that is pleasing to the eyes can be a huge motivator for someone who fears getting things done. Change your scenery once in a while. Work at a cafe, read a book at the park, surround yourself in nature. If this isn’t feasible, make sure that your home is clean before sitting down. Re-decorate your home or office, and invest in a good quality desk and a well lit room. You’ll be surprised by how productive you can be with a cleaner space.

Engage With Inspiring People
The best motivators are those that inspire you. It may be a friend, a loved one, or a family member, it doesn’t matter! As long as it is someone who inspires you to be better. Ask them to stay with you during your busy day. Surround yourself with people that exude good energy.
