Videos are currently becoming the best marketing method. Hence one should put a video on the landing page when considering improving the page performance. Videos are known to spice up any form of communication, and with landing pages, they will do the same. However, not just any video will spice up your page. You need to consider some practices that will make the use of a video effective on a landing page.

Here are some of the practices that boost landing page conversions using videos.

Have an Educative Video

When someone clicks and lands on your page, it’s a clear sign they have found interest and want to learn more about you and your products or services. You can take this golden opportunity to inform your visitor about yourself and your website. Compress the Page Files

Placing videos on your website will indeed delay the landing page load time, which can cost you customers. When the pages take more than two seconds to load, some customers will leave without waiting. Videos can significantly slow down the loading speed if the files are not properly compressed. The good news is that the files can be compressed easily and for free. There are applications such as VLC media Player and Handbrake that are simple to use and can compress your video without reducing its quality.
