Choose Your Paint

Remove any stains, dirt, and dust from the walls. If you’ve used soap, water, or primer, then let the surfaces dry overnight before you do anything else.
Make sure your walls and surfaces are smooth. If there are any old flakes of paint, then scrape them off with a paint scraper. If there are holes, dents, or cracks in the surfaces, then these should be filled in.
Protect all of your trim work, like skirting and window ledges. You can use painters or masking tape to protect them from paint.

Start Painting
Before you start, stir your paint well. It shouldn’t feel too runny, but you can add water to the paint if it feels too thick.
Paint from the top of the room, from the ceiling, or the highest point. Work your way down towards the floor.
Once you’ve finished the first coat, wait for it to dry. You can then remove any paint bubbles with a putty knife, and sand them down. Apply as many coats as you need to, always making sure the last coat is fully dry.
