Animal life has a line of dominance. The alpha dominates the wolf pack; similarly, the queen bee dominates a swarm of bees. Humans are the same, biologically the organizational structure, followed in the animal kingdom, is ever more present in humans. The hierarchy, or rather the class structure that forms the administrative unit of one’s society or tribe, and even in a company, is not a high-level system but a result of the primitive survival instincts embedded in the roots of all animal species.
Leadership is less of a perspective and more of an impulsive behavioral instinct. And to be precise, to a certain extent, leadership is the reason behind today’s existence of man. Early primitive societies lived on survival of the fittest. Thus, following and leading is not something done together. You either are a leader that leads or a follower that follows. However, he admitted that man could act any way he wanted by overriding his basic primal instincts. Still, in general, biology has covered the idea of how species behave in an organizational structure.
Below are a few ordinary behavioral virtues of an entrepreneur and how they can lead by example.
Executives guide and set examples
A company’s success gets duly credited to its leader and his\her role as a guide for its employees. The business can have a successful way through its particular industry when its leader puts forward a unique work culture and helps the business flourish way beyond its expectations. As the leader of the company guides, the same is followed by those under him\her and so on.
They are open to challenges
Real leaders never back down from challenges. Further, no status quo can satisfy them. Leaders might identify a team’s success, but often than not, leaders never pat their backs. Accomplishments are not exciting, but for a leader, challenges are.
Entrepreneurs never follow blindly
Organizational heads take lessons from experience and get inspired by mentors. And they provide to stakeholders. But following is different from learning and getting inspiration. Great leaders may learn from the experience of others, but they always navigate their path through success, says Vic Di Criscio. All leaders have their unique and incomparable ways of performing certain activities. And when decision-making is concerned, it is their judgment and intuition against everything else.
Real Leaders Inspire
It is an endless debate on what leaders are supposed to be and not supposed to be. However, for sure, real leaders inspire through their vision, and others follow through. A unique idea or perception, or concept inspires leaders to move ahead, while the same image inspires others to follow. Great leaders inspire and lead. They do not have the term “follow” in their dictionaries.
Behavior determines leadership. A leader’s behavior, activities, perceptions, and way of doing things define their position. You can find an entrepreneur anywhere, even with timid personalities or deafening ones. They could be introverts, or extroverts, or simply somewhere in between. They might have different work timings than the rest of the world.
